Still have my presidential M&M's and matchbook from one year ago today :) You were so excited about that whole experience, and meeting Bush. (Just one of those pleasant memories of you.)

Still in my thoughts and prayers, as well as Denise, Kelsey, Mark and Josh.
I'm right here for you when you need me.

I often think about you, especially our last conversion I had with you about me getting you that swat poster. I can remember you saying you'd love it. I was going to surprise you with it. It seems just like yesterday we were talking about it. I can still see you and Denise hugging and kissing each other the night before the accident. I remember thinking he loves her so much. We miss and love you. Please keep praying for Denise and the kids.

Missing you

January 30, 2006

I just started to clean your stuff out of our closet and came across some notes in your jean jacket that you had written down. They made me catch my breath. As I read them I was reminded of the way you faced all obstacles and how these were true reflections of your beliefs.......

Risk: You can't reach your goals without occasionally taking some long shots.

Perseverence: Sometimes success is just a matter of hanging on.

Attitude: Attack every problem with enthusiasm as if your survival depends upon it.

Opportunity: You always miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Challenges: Anyone can hold the helm when the season is calm.

Quality: The race for quality has no finish line.

Success is a journey, not a destination.

Finding these notes was a gift to me. All of your beliefs are the way I have been managing my journey through this grief. It's almost like you've sent them to me telling me I'm on the right path. I will continue to face the challenges with these definitions of yours in my heart. I miss you and love you, boo.

When I tell you that I see the number "33" everytime I turn around, I know it's a game that you play!!

So much that as I sat and watched the 6 O'clock news tonight I saw an SBC Global Internet commercial that showed a Basketball players back wearing a green and white jersey. The number? "33". The name on the Jersey? "Monte". Come on now? How the heck did you pull that one off???

Too Cool buddy, Too Cool!!

Love and Miss ya Buddy!
