Tim,
I can't believe it's been 2 years since you left us. They day you were called home seems like yesterday, yet it seems like a hundred years since I last talked to you. I continually pray for your family, though they are strong, they still struggle every day.
Tim, I miss you bro, your wit, your honesty, your outlook on life, just talking to you in general, I miss that so much.
I know we will meet again, and till then I will be there for your family. I will always love you like a brother Tim, you will never be forgotten.

It's been some sixteen months since you went home to sit at the table of God. You are missed everyday. I enjoyed working with you and you were the example of what a partner should be.

I have to say loving you as a friend wasnt easy. You were one of the most grouchy, complaining individuals I have ever known. But you were my friend and partner and I will always remember and honor you.

Your shift is over my friend, and I look forward to the day where, once again, we will see each other.

With your passing, Shelby county loss something very special, an officer who tried to make his city and county a better place to live.

Be at peace my brother, and thank you for your service and freindship.

Dear family of Deputy Dunn,

I wanted to take a moment to let you know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you begin another New Year without your beloved Howard.

I lost my husband 9 months ago in the line of duty, and am left to raise two children on my own. This is a very painful journey that I never expected to take. But I find comfort when I come to the ODMP and read about other families - like yours - who have found the strength and courage to continue on. Tim and Jesse are walking Heaven's streets of gold, and are safe in the arms of the angels. They will guide and protect us until we can see them again.

Thank you, Deputy Dunn, for your service and sacrifice. May God bless you and may you rest in peace, Blue Angel.

To the family and friends of Deputy Timothy Dunn, and his fellow officers with the Shelby County Sheriff's Dept:

On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Deputy Dunn was tragically killed a year ago. His dedication and valor will never be forgotten.

Our family grieves with you and for you.
We share your agony as we lost our beloved Larry Lasater of the Pittsburg Police Dept. when he was fatally shot on April 23, 2005 during a foot pursuit of two bank robbers.

May you continue to be comforted by the caring and support of your law enforcement family, and other police survivors. There are many who will be with you each step of the painful journey you face.

This refection is sent with the utmost respect for the service Deputy Dunn gave to his community as a law enforcement officer, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on October 29, 2004.

Happy anniversary honey.....I love you!!!

Tim,
I have met your lovely wife and we have had many conversations about you. She is a very sweet woman and I'm glad that I can be there to help her and to listen to her when she needs someone to talk to. I think the most important thing I have done is to make her feel "normal". As wives of fallen officers, we sure do some strange things and think odd thoughts! But she's able to ask me if it's normal and I can say YES!

Michelle is going to Washington this year to honor you. It is going to be a very difficult time for her. I will be there by her side when she needs me, but most of all she will need YOU by her side and in her heart. I hope you get to see police week in Washington and know how much you are missed and loved.
You will never be forgotten, Tim.

Sincerely, Jennifer Waters

There hasnt been a day that I havent remembered you. Everytime I see an officers car I remember you and I know that you are watching out for all of us but we would rather have you here. Thank you for all of the stories and memories that I can share with everyone. We will always remember all of the mean tricks you pulled but we know that you wouldnt have done any of them if you didnt love us. We will always love you and you will always be with us.

I just found this website and felt the need to post. I am a close friend of Michelle's, and I have known Tim since I was very little when he coached my softball team at Cherry Road Baptist Church. The loss of Tim is unbearable for you Michelle my friend and my heart breaks for you everyday. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you and Tim. Two people could not have been more perfect for each other than the two of you. I know God needed Tim and he would not want you to be sad. I will always be here for you whenever you need me. He will be greatly missed by so many. He was a wonderful person and always made Michelle happy. We will see him again one day in heaven, but for now he will be our angel....
