Goodbye, brother. May you rest in peace as you have earned that right.

As I sit here waiting for my first child to be born, I can only feel such deep sadness for your son or daughter yet to be born. He or she did get to meet you on this Earth, but will meet you in heaven.

My God Bless your family. May they know you are watching and protecting them from above.

Thank you for your service.

To all Family, Friends, and Co Workers of this Officer:

On Behalf of myself, and the Family of Police Officer Daniel Starks (Ft Myers Fl, E/O/W 10-25-03) we want you to know that you are all in our prayers! The Lord will sustain you as you go through this difficult, and trying time, but just remember your loved one is being cared for in Heaven, and is now eternally safe. We hope that you all remain as strong as possible, and know that we are all thinking of you. No words are quite ever adequate, but Police Officers make the ultimate sacrifice everyday, and our hope, and prayer is that they will always be remembered for their heroic efforts, and kind hearts.
Blessings Always,

I Am A Policeman's Wife

A policeman's wife I am Proud to Be
But in my heart I know
He might not make it home again
Each time he's called to go.
I believe that as his wife
I have a special part to play -
To encourage him and love him
And support him all the way.
He always does his very best
But society has its flaws
And he's in danger everyday
From those who break our laws.
And so I say a prayer and hope
That there will come a time
When we don't have to live in fear
Of violence or of crime.
I know he is the bravest man
That I will ever see,
And I will try, in my own way,
To match that bravery.

To the child,
I am an Officer with an agency not far from where your dad worked. I was working the day he died. I attended your Dad's funeral service, and talked to your Mom. I have two little girls of my own, and I promise you, even though your Dad never met you, he loved you with all of his heart. I know you are just about 2 days old as I write this, but one day it may help you understand. Your Dad was a hero in every form of the word. He died trying to help and protect other children just like you. I know words will never stop the hurt, or answer why this happened. But I promise you, you and your Mom are in my prayers, and will remain there. Trust in Jesus and you will meet your Dad, my hero, one day.

A friend.

I was blessed to know Jason. He was so happy to be a daddy. He could not wait. The last time I talked to him he was talking about it and I noticed that he was glowing with excitement. Jason was the kind of person you you had to like. He always seemed to be happy. He was an OUTSTANDING deputy, as are all the deputies and officers in Loudon Co. I am proud to serve along side with them.
My heart goes out to Jasons family, your loss is unimaginable. God Bless.

No further away than a picture, a smile, or remembered phrase. Our loved ones once live in memory, so close in many ways.
For how often does a sunset bring nostalgic thoughts to mind of moments that our loved ones shared.
In days now left behind, how often has a flower, or a crystal autumm sky brought golden recollections of happy days gone by, yes, memory has a magic way of keeping loved ones near.
Ever close in mind and heart are the ones we hold most dear.

It will take a long time for grief to settle, but you will make it and the sun will shine again. God will give you the strenght in the days to come, so will your husband as he looks down on you and his unborn child. When you look into your child's eyes you can see him, and some day tell it what a wonderful man daddy was.
