Ken, I know you have never met me but I feel that I know you. I met you through Kathy at the memorial in DC this past week. There is no greater tragity than to loose a Husband, Father, Friend, or Son. My heart goes out to Kathy and all of your Children and grandchildren.
God Bless and Rest in Peace.

Kathy, it was so great to see you smile this past week as you were remembering Ken. I know you definitely had your sad times and tears, but I was so happy to see you smile.

I am so glad that the two of us had a chance to talk this past week. Being the only 2 from NJ last year gives us something in common we wish we didnt have. But I am glad we met and I hope you know that I will always be here for you. I hope our friendship continues to grow.

Ken, your wife is an amazing woman. I dont know how she handles the pain of losing you while trying to be strong for 6 children and a number of grandchildren. She has strength I bet she never knew she had. I wish I had the pleasure of meeting you. You are a true hero and one of the nation's finest.

Continue to keep watch over your family, and as you are patrolling the highways of heaven, take pride in your new job as Kathy's guardian angel. I am truly honored to know her.

Kenny,
I just want to let you know that we ALL still miss you very much. It's almost 13 months and it is as hard as day one. You were "ONE IN A MILLION" and I am so thankful that I had the pleasure of being your "FAVORITE" sister-in-law. I just had to do that since you know Susan thinks it was her. For now keep Dad, Big John, Tommy, and Aunt Peg company......

Lots of Love,

Ken,

It's almost a year and it is no easier today than it was then...... Unfortunately, Tom McMeekin now joins you in heaven. It's especially hard since it is so close to the anniversary of your death. Hopefully when he arrived at the Gates of Heaven you were his escort....and you are both at Peace. You are remembered daily for all of your kindness and sense of humor. Always remembered and never forgotten.........

Love Always!!!!!!

Kenny,
It's been almost 10 months and it's as painful today as the day you were taken from us. You will never know how many lives you touched. You were truly "ONE OF THE GREAT ONES" and you will be forever missed. I have no doubt you will continue to look over all of us.

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003).

We all grieve over the lives lost in the line of duty. I hope you can find some comfort knowing that there are countless prayers that go out for your family.

These are senseless tragedies that never seem to stop. God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.
