Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Officer Ryan Keith Goto

When you are sad, we are all sad. When you hurt, we all hurt.
When you cry, we all cry...you are the glue that holds us together.

Ryan ,Walt and I are very saddened by you leaving us so early. I will miss your voice over the radio, but most I will miss your smile. You always had one there even when things were tough for you. Your little boy will always know what a great person you were because everyone of your fellow beat partners from D7 and Solo Bike knew and they wont let him forget. I will never forget the time you pulled me over when I was racing to work only to find out it was me and you started laughing. I never worried about Walt when you were with him. I knew you had his back. Take care and one day we will see that great smile of yours again. We will all miss you brother.

Police Radio Dispatcher II Linda Gouveia
Honolulu Police Department

May you rest in peace! Your memory will live on forever. We all know that you will guide us and protect us from above. May god bless you and your family.

Special Agent
Department of Homeland Security

Words fail to express my sadness for the loss of Ryan...He truly was a pleasure to work with while he was assigned to District 7. He was so well liked and admired by both his fellow beat partners and supervisors. He loved his job so much and being assigned to the Solo bikes was his dream.

My heart goes out to his family, fiance and fellow officers. We at HPD have suffered the loss of two officers within a short period of time and our hearts are heavy...time does not seem to dull the pain.

Rest in peace Ryan... you will be missed my brother.

My wife and I honeymooned in Hawaii. All I could think about is how I would love to have the opportunity to work and live in Hawaii.
