Mike Johnson was the kind of person who had a smile for everyone. I had the pleasure of having known him and his family for over a decade now. I have seen him as an exhuberant father playing with his children, a loving husband dancing with his wife at my wedding, a proud coach cheering on his team, and a devoted officer of the law. I still can't believe that this man who was once so full of life is no longer with us. My thoughts are with Kerrie and the kids. Mike was one in a million and will never be forgotten.

When I was a cashier at Bradford Mini Mart in Bradford VT, I was always happy to see Sgt. Johnson come in, and say hello to everyone, someone that always had a smile on his face, and just a particularly nice person.
Thanks for putting your life on the line, to make everyone else safe within the state of Vermont.

You have chosen a path in life most would not travel. Your duty came first, but you are not alone. Brother and sister officers have fallen before you. They are waiting to guide you on your next journey. You will be missed and not forgotten.

Mike Johnson was a wonderful person. A devoted father, loving husband to his wife, and a dedicated officer to his troop station. Mike was also a figure in our community that will never be forgotten or matched. Whether he was on the job or on the field coaching youth sports, Mike always had a smile. Mike was truly everyones best friend. Mike will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
