Reflections for Police Officer Tony Willi Zeppetella

As a Marine Reserve Sgt, I have been stationed in the Oceanside area since February and gotten to be acquainted with many of the fine men and women of this force as they come by our bike night every Thursday in the city. I am saddened to hear of this tragic loss as we had a very similar one in December of last year. God bless the department, friends, and family of our brother officer.

Patrolman Mike Sheehan
East Point Georgia Police Department

My condolences to the co-workers and family of Offc. Zeppetella. Rest in peace brother, we have the watch now.

Inv. Michael Walker

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rain fall gently on your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand

God bless you and your family.

I can remember going to that same Credit Union as a young Marine. I was very naive back then of the evil that exists on the streets of every city in this Country. I never learned the true nature of evil until I left the Corps and became a police officer. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten, Brother. It will live on in the hearts and memories of your fellow officers and in men you never knew. I know that both your immediate family and your brothers with badges can find some solace in knowing you are watching over them from a better place.

As a young man about to enter law enforcement myself, it always sickens me to hear of someone giving their life in the line of duty, especially someone so young and near my own age.... but then again, it takes a special breed to wear that uniorm. It's odd how God decided that my Father would go 25 years in Houston without a scratch (and hopefully I too shortly), but decided it was time for Officer Zeppetella to come home. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, fellow officers, and citizens of California in this time of such loss. Rest easy, brother, we'll take it from here.

To the wife, young son, family, friends and coworkers of this fine officer may God be with you all in this terrible time of loss. My heart and prayers are with you all. Rest in peace Officer Zeppettala and thank you for a job well done.

May God grant your family a comforting peace as you transcend this earthly bound. I have no doubt that God will meet you with open arms as you go forth to patrol the streets of heaven under his command. May God bless you, your family, friends, and all of the remaining peace officers who will continue the watch here in your absence. Good night, Warrior.
