Reflections for Sergeant Lisa Gene Wampole

I am sorry that I did not know about this site earlier. As it so often happens in our profession, her loss came so quick and unexpectedly. Lisa and I came on about two years apart. She was so energetic and outgoing. We all had so much on those Reno bus trips that she organized. She was always a positive person and very professional. Lisa, you are greatly missed. God Bless!

Lisa was my cousin and one of the influences in my life that led me to a career in law enforcement. I often think of Lisa and her career and how it was cut too short. A couple of years prior to her death she was able to visit me at my station and I was proud to intorduce her to my fellow officers. I will forever remember her for what she stood for and how she helped me in my career. God bless her and her family.

I too would like to recognize Sgt Wampole and extend my gratitude for your ultimate sacrifice. We live in a world that does not always favor or even like law enforcement officers, that is why heroes like you need to be lifted up and recognized. Thank you Sarge, God Bless.

Officer
Eugene Police Department (OR)

I did not know Lisa, but having recently moved to Coos County, I came upon her name after the death of a state trooper friend from Salem, Maria Magnano. It saddened me that not one person had left a note for Lisa. I just want to thank her and her family for her service to this community. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
