GREG,
Hey I just found out that there questioning a guy about your death. He sure fits one of the composite sketches. I still have faith that your killer will be brought to justice on this side. If not rest assured that he will have to answer to the God in Heaven that I serve. Rest easy friend. You are not forgotten!!!!!

Greg, Theres an Officer from Kansas up there with you now. I didnt know him like I did you but I was sitting here watching coverage of the storms the night he was killed. Wondering If I could have had the courage to do the things he was out there doing. I couldnt help but to think of you and the things you used to tell me about fear.

I just wanted to say that you and Tim seem to have been the same caliber of Officer and I can only hope that when God calls me home we are all on the same beat. I look foraward to serving with you and Tim on the day of my first watch on heavens streets.

I still think of you often and miss you alot.

My heart stopped when I heard about what happend. You were only doing your job and someone took that away, your memories stay and live on for eternity.I can only cry when I read about your story. My heart goes out to you and WE WILL FIND THE ONES WHO DID THIS!I pray to God that they slip up and talk or that we will have a description of them. You left behind your wife and kids... but you will meet them again but not yet not yet. They can't wait to see you again you are a good father and a excellent police officer.I watch America's Most Wanted ever saturday night hoping that there is Descripions or captures of the cowards that did this. You don't know me and never have met me but I feel that you are family to me.You don't know how bad that I want to bring these cowards to justice. If other officers can read this I want you to know that I have all my energy in helping you with this case as soon as I get Descriptions of these cowards.Just like all other AMW viewers.I want to write this song to you:
When I woke up this morning/
And wipe the sleep from my eyes/
I found a new day dawning/
And suddenly I realized /
You're gone/
Tell me I was dreaming/
And that you didn't leave me here to cry/
You didn't say you don't love me anymore/
It was just my imagination telling lies/
Tell me that you didn't say goodbye/
I'm in a state of confusion/
I hope things are not what they seem/
If this is really happening/
Just let me go back to dream/
You're home/

Darlin' Tell me you didn't say...
Goodbye

Soon it will be 10 years since the news story broke on our local station, and still no resolution. Even if he isn't brought to justice on this earth, he will still face his maker- then final judgement will be rendered. Please know that we keep you and your family in our hearts and prayers. You didn't deserve what happened, no one ever does. God bless you.

I passed by your memorial site this week on a return trip from Florida. In retrospect I had passed by this site more than once during my travels over the last several years but shamefully I had never felt compelled to find out who or why this stretch of highway was dedicated to. Thankfully the internet allowed me to do that.
I just want to say that like fellow warriors who have fallen before you, both in the line of duty and wars past, you will never be forgotten. Never.

My wife & I just returned from a trip to Yadkin Co., North Carolina. "Wanted" posters for the killer of Sgt. Martin were still displayed in the windows of nearly every business in Elkin & Jonesville 9 years after this travesty.
It's nice to see that the community recognizes and remembers Sgt. Martin for the hero that he is. The people whom he served in life continue to seek justice for him.

Sgt. Greg Martin,
Saw your story on America's Most Wanted 5-28-05. Your death/story touched me deeply as my family also lost a loved one(Detroit P.O. Jennifer Fettig on 2-16-04)--during a traffic stop around 1:55 a.m. It's always a tragedy when someone is murdered, especially when it's someone in law enforcement out doing their job to keep their communities safe. Hope that AMW gets the break they need to bring down the person/people involved/responsible for your death. Your family deserves the peace of mind knowing that the bad guys are off the street and that justice has been served. So I hope it all gets solved soon. Rest in peace. May God watch over your family & all the brave men and women in law enforcement.

I had never heard of you or your story even though I am a police officer in your very own home state. Hard to believe that other officers aren't aware of it knowing that there is a killer/killers on the loose but there are some many leo murders these days. I just wanted to say that watching America's Most Wanted brought tears to my eyes. I was in awe of how they still drive the procession of patrol cars to the scene of your murder every year even if it IS in the middle of the night. They are truly honoring you. I just wanted to say that your friends and family are still fighting for you. I hope you know how true your friends were and how much your family loved you.

Hopefully, we all take what we learned here and implement it in our own activities as leo's. Your loss is not in vain.

I was getting ready for work when I saw your story profiled on a segment of America’s Most Wanted. It is so often that I head out to work with the potential of never seeing my wife and daughter again. Unfortunately, a few of us law enforcement officers will be forced to make that Ultimate Sacrifice. Your death was not in vain. For when you fell, your brothers and sisters closed ranks to keep that thin blue line solid. It is my prayer that God will continue to comfort your family. Someday, your killers will receive that long awaited Justice either in a courtroom or by God. Sleep well, my brother.
