Reflections for Patrolman Emil A. Newberg

Patrolman Newberg, it has been 66 years since you were taken from us. New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices that you and too many others have made for us. Thank you for your service.

As a great grandson I’m very blessed to have my father which was also a first responder . Very frustrating to lose a family member who puts their life on the line day to day . I want to thank all first responder who have the courage to make the world a safe place for a simple paycheck

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 54th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Today is the 50th anniversary of your death. Although 50
years has passed, your memory nor you value to those who
love you is diminished. The only thing diminished in death
is a bit of the light you gave.
In memory you live forever.
