Think of you often, especially when I go past certain points of interest. Lots of fond memories. I can remember going into Henry's at the time and telling you Leonard Kelly was hiring a jailer/dispatcher and that he would even hire a democrat lol. I'm doing my best to keep the weeds out of your field.

I think of you a lot but especially during May and this weekend. You had the best laugh and the goofiest country sayings. I'm honored to be able to have called you my friend.

Remembering a wonderful husband and dad on the 22 anniversary of your death. Not a day goes by that we don't think of you. Although our time as a family was not as long as we planned, we know God had greater plans for you. We miss you so much but are so thankful for the precious memories that will remain with us forever. The Lord has been beside us every step of the way and all we can do is Thank Him. You would be(are) so proud of our son. He is beginning his 1st internship over the summer and continuing his education. We are doing the best we can but you are always in our hearts as we carry on with our lives. Until we meet again...

All our love~Connie & Noah Dean

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 15th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I hold your family in my heart's embrace today and pray for their solace.

Terry~I find it hard to believe that our son is a freshman in high school. This is homecoming week and today he was honored as a member of the Junior Varsity Golf team. He started the season 4th on the team and ended the season in 2nd place. What an accomplishment since he just started playing this summer. He would have made you a fine golfing buddy. He is so handsome and has a wonderful personality like you. He is so laid back and easy going unless you get him mad and then it's a different story. He says what needs to be said and moves on. Wow, I always admired that about you and now our son handles most situations in the same manner as his dad did. It still amazes me how much he is like you when he never got the chance to know the man who was blessed to be his father. He makes me soooo PROUD and I believe in my heart you are just as PROUD as you watch over us from above. Just a note that you are loved and will never be forgotten. 'Til We Meet Again~We Love You!! You died of an all too common accident, but that won't diminish your service or
sacrifice. Wow! Your wife has raised your son all alone all these years. At least
one day the three of you will be reunited and can make up for lost time. Nothing is ever wasted with God.

Terry~ It's hard to believe today marks the 14th year since the tragic day all of our lives changed forever. We miss you so much, but are comforted knowing where you are spending eternity. Until we meet again, know that you will live forever in our hearts and will always be "OUR HERO"!!! Thanks for all of the wonderful memories and the love you gave us daily. Rest in peace our wonderful husband and dad.

Terry~May you always know that you are not by forgotten by your family who loves and misses you soooo much!!! We are doing fine, but this is a difficult month with the Police Memorials and the anniversary date of your death approaching. It's only by God's grace and our faith in Him that we carry on with our lives, but we miss your presence in our lives daily. our Your son is going to his 8th grade Graduation Dance on Thursday night and got his first "real tie". Boy, do I wish you were here to help him get his tie on correctly. Just another one of those things a young man needs his dad for. He's a fine young man and would make you proud!! It's hard to believe our son will begin high school next fall. Our baby boy is growing up quickly. We know you're watching over us as we travel along your memorial highway and everywhere else we go. WE LOVE YOU WITH ALL OUR HEARTS~NOW AND ALWAYS!!! GOD BLESS!!

"The Badge"

He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.

He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.

Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.

He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.

His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.

He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.

And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.

But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.

Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.

Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.

So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.

In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.

Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.
