Every year since 2009 I have made the blue ribbons with the 51 names of the Oakland Police Officers who have died in the line of duty. It is my honor to do this for the fallen officers. The ribbons hang on a tree outside the Warehouse Bar and Grill in Oakland, California for all to see the sacrifice they have made to keep us safe. God bless you all and rest in peace.

A grateful citizen

Rest in Peace, Officer Muscovich. Your sacrifice is not forgotten.

Your heroism and service is honored today as we approach the 65th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. He was shot twice when ambushed on April 23rd when he was on a foot pursuit of two bank robbers, 65 years after you were killed.

Yesterday I attended a memorial service for four of your fallen brothers from Oakland Police Department who lost their lives in the darkest day of your department.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
