Reflections for Police Officer Roland W. Morgan

Your passing occurred 11 weeks before your son (my father) was born. He missed you greatly and loved you fully without even knowing you.
You have made a major impact on our family, and will always be loved and missed. God has you in his arms, and we know you are watching from heaven. Hopefully, we are all making you proud, grandpa.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the sixty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. How nice that your family is able to honor you on this site.

I never knew my grandfather as he was killed when my mother was only 10 years old. However, I am proud to say tell people that my grandfather was a Baltimore City Police Officer. I know he is enjoying his eternal reward in heaven.

We ask Thy blessings and eternal rest to all our brothers and sisters
Who have sacrificed their very lives in the performance of
their duties. Give their loved ones the peace and
Strength to bear the anguish of their loss. Remove all
resentment from their hearts, knowing that eternal
peace and rest will abide their departed loved ones
forever. This we beg, Thy name forever and ever,
Amen.
