Reflections for Patrolman Nicholas C. Moreno

Rest In Peace ... hero . I’m sorry that the suspects were never brought to justice ! It seems that just like today , years ago the justice system fails law enforcement ! I pray that your family flourished and were taken care of ... and you watch over them always .

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 73rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Patrolman Moreno,
On today, the 68th anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of New York City. I think it's a travesty of justice that your murderers weren't brought to justice.

It is sad when a good man is taken so young. Sorry I never go to know you personally. I heard many good stories about an honest, respectable well liked young man, who was taken from this earth to soon.

Officer Moreno,

I just read your biography and I was amazed the your killers were never brought to justice. You and your family were victimized again. Although you were taken from us many years ago, you will never be forgotten for your service and sacrifice. God bless you and keep you always.

Granpa,
We never had the chance to meet. You were gone before I was born. My mother was just an infant when you were taken from her. I have all thats left of your legacy in news articles and mass cards. Your history reads like a hollywood story. I read each item over and over, intrigued with the many twists and turns, both before your death and even after. I agonize over the fact that although suspects were detained, confessed and put on trial, noone ever was held accountable for your death.
The pain of that rememberance will haunt your loved ones always.
I have no happy memories to reflect upon as neither does my mother. You were taken from us before we had the chance to even know you.
But, love is the strongest of all emotions, as that is what shines through in my prayers for you.
