My name is Les Hubbard. I was married to Officer Mize' wife's(Vola Cosby Mize) niece, Charlotte LaVerne (nee
Bailey)Hubbard. I was very familiar with Officer Mize' untimely death. Story goes that Mize' killer was more than a little roughed-up upon his apprehension, and that Jimmy's wife Vola attended the killer's execution in 1956. Officer Mize was very well-liked within his department and the community and his wife, Vola never got over his death. She eventually remarried to a Mr Paul Lazenby, but on her death she was interred next to Jimmy. To my knowledge, they never had any children
