To Terry and kids, may you know that we have not forgotten your hero and I know that he is proud of all of you and the accomplishments that you have made in your lives, and the help that you all have given other survivors. God truly called a very special angel home that day, and the sacrifice that he made for all of us will never be forgotten. May God continue to guide Terry and the family left behind, and may you, Officer Miyares continue to rest in peace...

Hi Emilio, on November 6, marks 25 yrs of your trip up to Heaven to be with our Lord. We miss you today as much as we did that awful Nov. 6, 1986. Life has changed, our kids from 4yrs and 7 yrs old are two wonderful adults; responsible and strong (just like you). I hope that you are as proud of them as I am, I believe I did a good job, I can’t ask for better kids; and to top it all our grandkids, they are my life and I know that you would of have much fun with them; they all know you and love you as if you were here. Even if is 25 yrs that you have been gone we all need you.

Love you always and forever , your wife, kids and grandkids

I remember that night that Emilio was shot down. I was a detective at the time and I was assigned to Internal Affairs and was called to the scene from my home. This night is very vivid to me and while reflecting on Emilio, I remember him as a great Person,Officer and Friend. God Bless you and your family.

Officer Miyares, as a longtime resident of South Florida, I just wanted to say your sacrifice is not forgotten. I see your wife post on several officer's memorial sites, and I feel it is important to let her know that this citizen is thankful for you. May you rest in peace Officer Miyares

Well I am finally going to Washington for the services and seminars. It's time and I know your watching over all of us. I miss you and I always will. You, Mami, Pipo, y Dania me dieron todo el amor, carino, me ensenastes mucho, y tengo muchas memorias buenas. I am glad I was so blessed. I realized that we were lucky to have you for as long as we did. You all made me who I am and I am grateful. my childhood was more than anyone could ask for because of all of you. I Love You All. I don't show it like I show but I have learned to say what you need to say before it's too late. I miss you and I love you.
