I worked with Mike Freeman at the Norwalk Office in the 60’s before he transferred to Woodland. He and Roy Bleacher were shot to death by Luis Rodriguez on I-80 in West Sacramento. Mike was a good friend.

Semper Fi Motorman. I also worked South LA as you did. You were spoken about in 1969 When I reported Into SLA and I still think about the stories I was told about you. Several officers knew you well and they did not and I’m certain have not forgotten you. Rest In Peace And God bless you and your family.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
