I found this website looking at a reflection on a new fallen officer. I thought I would look at the town I grew up in to see if officer Mikesell was listed. I didn't even remember his name but I was glad to see that he was remembered. It was sad to see only one relfection. I said a prayer in his memory and I will continue to do so. I remember Sergeant Mikesell, I didn't know him well. He use to talk to me when I rode my horse in town. I remember the night that he was shot and I remember the sound of gunfire in the air. I was twelve years old at the time. I remember how his death impacted the little town of Calipatria. It was such an act of viloence in "our" little town. I just want his family and loved ones to know that he is remembered and he his not forgotten these thirty four years later.
