Reflections for Special Officer Lewis H. Mickey

Lewis H Mickey was the Grandfather I never knew personally as I was born in 1944. However my Grandmother and Mother and Aunt over the years told me stories about the life and times of this remarkable individual.
In addition to being an agent for the railroad, he was an Arizona Ranger prior to Arizona becoming a state in 1912. God will always bless and hold men like this.

Officer Mickey, today marks the 83rd anniversary of your murder at the hands of a young kid. It’s especially sad since you had two young children at home. They had lost you physically, but I truly believe you never really left them.

You gave your life while protecting one of the most important resources that made America great, it’s railroads and it was the effort you put out that makes you a hero.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
