Reflections for Patrolman Henry E. A. Meyer
I believe Patrolman Meyer was my Great grandfather. This is a beautiful piece of family history to uncover. The dates and story match up to what I was told as a child and with one aunt and uncle remaining, (Patrolman Meyer’s grandchildren) I am uncovering bits and pieces to my mother’s side of the family in the NYC area. I am so very grateful to read the above posts and wish to thank those who have written and remembered him.
Sincerely,
Deirdre Kuzio

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. You will always be remembered and revered.
Rest In Peace

I said a little prayer today for Patrolman Meyers and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.
