Your heroism and service is honored today on the 55th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. He was shot twice when ambushed on April 23rd when he was on a foot pursuit of two bank robbers.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Mom of fallen California Officer Larry Lasater, Pittsburg PD, eow 4/24/05

I just happend upon your memorial site and was quite taken by the heroic and actions you took to save the life of a fellow officer at the expense of your own. It may have been 50 years ago but time doesn't lessen the fact that you were and always will be one of the true heros of law enforcement. Though I was only 6 when you died I am proud to have shared a career in LE with you.
