Trooper McCarty, you are still serving the people of Colorado. On a dark Friday night the Colorado State Patrol Dispatch center received a call of a stranded motorist who told the call taker that he sitting next to your roadside memorial sign. From what he gave us we were able to locate the motorist and get him some help. Thank you for your service, now and back in the past. You will never be forgotten.

Patrolman McCarty - Three Fridays ago, on a very rainy morning, I was in the State Assembly chambers when your name was read off as one of the almost 250 others, during a motion regarding this month's Police Memorial week. I stood next to CSP Chief Wolfinbarger who acknowledged the mention of each and every CSP member.

Thank you for your service to the people of Colorado.
May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
