Read you ODMP entry today on the 90th anniversary of your demise. Like too many of my fellow LEOs, you died way too young my friend. Thank you for your service

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.

I am privileged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 82nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

My grandmother Edith Hester McCain Joyce often spoke of her brother favorably. David McCain was her older brother and he named my grandmother after two of his favorite school teachers. Their other sisters were Malinda and Tillie McCain. Patrolman David McCain's parents were Joanna Geiger and David McCain from the Highland, IL area. My mother Virginia Joyce Hawbaker was David's niece which makes David McCain my great uncle. I would like to have met him.
