Your heroism and service is honored today, the 76th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

On the anniversary of his death, we pause to honor and remember one of own, Officer Raymond Mathis.

He was a dedicated officer who paid the ultimate sacrifice serving and protecting citizens of Montgomery. It's even more tragic that justice was never served and his killer never paid for his actions.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his surving family members.

He will never be forgotten.
