Your heroism and service is honored today, the 91rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored amd revered.

At the beginning of every shift I supervise, myself and the other officers on shift dedicate the day to the memory of a fallen officer. Tonight, February 27, 2003 we dedicated the shift to the memory of Officer Willis Martin who died on this date 82 years ago.

When one law enforcement officer falls, we all stumble for a while, but we will carry on.

Officer Willis' sacrifice will never be forgotten
