I never knew Chief Martin but my father, Charles F. Martin, son of Charles Daniel Martin (1878-1927), brother to Chief Posey Martin, often spoke very highly of him. The family was very proud of him.

My husband never met his Grandfather but he knew his Grandmother who lived to be 100 years old. She loved her husband and spoke of him to her grandson and never remarried. She raised four wonderful children. Captain Martian would have been proud.
