Your heroism and service is honored today, the 69th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace.

Rest in Peace Chief Markham. I did the research about your death when I was an student intern in the late 1980's.from CSUC. The more I looked into your death, the better I got to know you as a Peace Officer...Sir, you were one hell of a officer and leader.
