Michael,

Your story was a part of our upbringing as you were my Mother's Godfather. Through an old black & white photo of you in uniform, some newspaper clippings & several yellowing letters you wrote to my grandparents in Ireland-your character shines through as a caring and thoughtful man with a lovely sense of humour, a gentle-man indeed.
Through this website it is lovely to know that your family are a fine bunch who continue to keep your memory alive. You live on through our thoughts with respect and a wish we could have known you.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
