I never had a chance to meet you, but you come to my heart and mind from time to time. I wonder what you were like, your smile makes me think you were funny and would have been great to know and spend time with. Hope we get a chance to meet when it's time.

Thank you, grandfather, for your service. I often think of you and wish I could have known you. I known my mom is with you and one day we will all be together in Paradise. Please give her my love and tell her that I miss her every day. She's been gone so long, as have you. Please pray for me. All my love forever...

I wish to thank you for your service, as we have lost a UHP Officer today as he was run over while laying down a puncture strip across the road. I wish I could of met you and asked for your daughter's hand in marriage personally. But now she is with you after giving birth to a grandson you would be proud of. As you probably know, you have five beautiful grand-children and five beautiful great-grandchildren with one on the way. They often ask about you and your family.

Dear Dad, your service with the CHP was a big part in my decision to join the San Diego Fire Department in 1977. I retired with 30 years and thought of you often on my shifts. Good on you, Jim Madere
