Your heroism and service is honored today, the 73rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

Although 72 years have passed your sacrifice is not forgotten. Thank you for your service.

While reading this site I noticed Chicago Police Officer Michael Duffy was killed on November 30, 1919 in an incident exactly the same as your incident, an armed individual in a tavern. The dedication of you and Officer Duffy is a fine example of the CPD tradition.
