God Bless You for your Service and Your Sacrifice. I spoke to your Grandaughter Easter, today. We remember you, especially on our Nation's Birthday, many years since that fateful day in 1940 when you and your NYPD Bomb Squad partner Det. Ferdinand Socha saved many lives at the NY Worlds Fair by removing the bomb in their midst that took your lives. The NYS Shields Never Forget our Fallen Heroes.

Grandpa, on the 75th anniversary of your untimely death, we continue to honor you. My mother, your daughter Mary, was only 2 years old when you died in the line of duty. Her life and the lives of all grandchilden were forever impacted. How many lives you saved that day! My hope as that you two are reunited in heaven.
Forever in our hearts,

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

75 years this year.
We will honor and remember you..
We will remember all you that gave,
and all that you are to those of us who love you.
We will remember of course your sacrifice,
but also the distinguished life you lived.
We will remember the example you set,
that you loved our grandmother,
and our parents, and through them, love us as well.
You will live on through each of us,
may we always be worthy of that honor.

By moving the bomb, how many lives were saved may never be known, but for you and Detective Socha to have given your lives is tragic.

This memorial does not say if the person responsible was ever caught, but we can only hope that individual faced true justice, if not in this world, then in the next.

God Bless you, Detective Lynch and may you eternally Rest in Peace, Brother.

To fully honor our heroes of the present, we must
recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 72nd anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
