Reflections for Corporal John Novabilski

Dear John,

Summer is here and I miss you dearly. I looked up to the blue sky and saw beautiful puffy clouds. I started crying for you, mommy, and poppy. I know that you three are in Heaven with our Dear Lord smiling and at peace.

I have a picture of you in the bedroom and I tell your niece and nephew all the time that you are my brother and you watch out for all of us here on earth.

I really do miss you alot. I also pray for Steve alot too.

You, steve, and the other officers are special people. I will never forget all of you.

John, I miss you and I love you. I will always cherish the time we spent in February of 2005 when I interned at Washington Hospital. You were a very special person and a caring person indeed. We will talk again my brother.

Dear John and brother of mine. There is not a day that goes by without me thinking of you. I still am full of anger and grief of what had happended to you. It is not fair that you and all the other fallen police officers had life taken away in trying to better the world of crime and evil. I pray for you often and you are never forgotten. Remember, hold Mommy's hand and laugh with Poppy in Heaven. You have a beautiful niece and nephew and I will make sure they know every day what a HERO you are. We love you and miss you. I sure do miss those days of us busting each other about the Hawks, Bears, Red Wings, and Lions. I know you and Steve are having some good old fun. Love, Bernie, your brother

One of the hardest jobs in the world. Under-appreciated, misunderstood. Most citizens don t know what it would be like if the men and women of law enforcement simply quit...chaos, anarchy would ensue. Most can t open their eyes to that. This site helps some to understand what so many take for granted in our communties. Nova, you and Agent Christian are not forgotten.

Dear "Nova",
I think of you and our other fallen brothers often. I enjoyed working alongside you in District 2. May you rest in peace on the grounds of Sacred Heart Chapel. God bless you and your family.
