I just learned of you today, you are my Granny Daisy Lilly Ervin's brother. I'm a genealogist, while working on my own family history today I found you and your cause of death. I was sad and inspired at the same time. I'm grateful for your service, your example and the love you've proven for your fellowman in serving and protecting. Thank you Uncle Sam, peace to you forever~

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace

Thank you, Uncle "Sam" Lilly, brother to my Grandmother, Daisy Lilly Ervin, for being an Honor to our family. How glad I am that I sent in the substantiative evidence years ago, so the Justice Department would have record of you and your service to our state of North Carolina. May you rest in peace.
