Your heroism and service is honored today, the 90th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Uncle Charlie,
Your little brother was my grandfather. He never got over your murder. I am sorry I never had the chance to know you, but many years later, career circumstances brought me to the same city that you protected so well. It's been more than 84 years since your death, and still, it haunts our family. You are remembered as an honest and dedicated officer who paid the ultimate price for doing the right thing. Now my sister and I are digging into history to try to tell your story. I pray we do it justice.
Your great-niece,
Penny
