Officer Leatherman,
On today, the 76th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of California. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

76 years ago you lost your life serving the citizens of California. It doesn’t say want your badge number was but it had to be a very low number. I wasn’t even born yet but I too served with the Blue and Gold. I went to motor school with the CHP in 1972 some 40 years after your untimely death. I’m sure you loved motors as much as I did. God bless you and I just wanted you to know that you will never be forgotten. Thank you for your service. Semper Fi..

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 67th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace
