Although I did not know this officer, he gave his life in the most selfless way possible--saving other peoples lives in place of his own. He is a true hero. The New York City Police Dept. is very lucky to have officers like him, and the ones that died on 9/11--saving other peoples lives in place of their own. My thoughts and prayers go to him and his family.
