Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Frank V. Trejo

Many years ago when I was a rookie cop I worked with Frank and he
taught me a lot about being
a law enforcement officer.
As the years have passed and
My career has taken me to a chief's position I frequently think back
with fondness and gratitude for
the mentorship that Frank provided.

On a recent visit to Washington
DC I visitied the Law Enforcement Memorial and took a pencil
etching of Frank's name.
This is now framed in my
office as a continual reminder,
not only of his friendship, but
his service and sacrafice which
inspires every day to be better
than I probably would have been otherwise.

I miss you brother...
