Reflections for Correctional Officer Lawrence A. "Frank" Kush, Jr.

I believe the ones who killed Kush should have been put to death immediately, from everything I’ve read about Kush has been nothing but amazing and I’m not understanding why he hasn’t a building been named after him yet !

I worked with Officer Kush as well. I remember pulling into the parking lot and instinctively knowing something was terribly wrong that night reporting for my shift. He was a gentle soul. He loved life and his family. Going behind that wall we faced evil everyday. And sometimes evil prevails as it did that day. I think of him from time to time; the man he would have been today. My heart aches knowing he did not get to see his daughters grow up and the loss his wife and family suffered that day. I miss him still...

Brother

You're my brother
The one I care about
Pray for day and night
Watch you fight crime
Going through hard times
But you hind it very well
Making a difference in peoples life
There for them
Always know what to say
In your uniform, you're a whole new person
When you have been killed
Gone, not coming back
I cry
Pray for your family
I say rest in peace, my brother
I hear your beat on those streets
Never hear your voice again
On that radio
Never see that face of yours
But you still my brother
Rest in peace
