i remember andy from growing up in albertville. that was the time that he was a k-9 handler and i remember how he and his k-9 (niko) impressed me and that is one of the reasons that i'm a k-9 handler today. i have a lot of fun memberies of speaking with andy about being a handler. andy you are missed very badly, not just from me but from the other officers at albertville.

I got to know Detective Whitten back in the early 80's while he was a K-9 handler. I was lucky to be able to see him work his dog and admire him and that was when I told myself I would be a K9 handler one day. Det. Whitten was a great officer and man.....Rest In Peace Brother
