To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 45th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I will never forget the night my father received a phone call in the middle of the night saying my grandfather had been killed. I also know that others have not forgotten you either. To this day, I still meet complete strangers who knew you and tell me what a great man and police officer you were.I can still remember the times I would ocassionally ride with you and the times you took me fishing. I am proud that you were my grandfather and I miss you very much. May the Lord bless you and keep you.
