Dear Uncle Norman..it's still hard to believe you've been gone so long, but your not really gone because i have wonderful memories, especially childhood ones...I was very proud to know you picked the road of law enforcement for a career..you were an outstanding member of our family...I ask you to be my son's gaurdian angel as he attempts to follow your footsteps that you left behind. (by the way his middle name is "Norman" after you)... may your legacy continue.
Thanks to Michigan Police for Keeping Him in our Eyes, so we won't forget
Luv Ya Forever...your niece LISY

A few Years ago I met your cousin, and we have become good friends since then. One day he shared the story of you, and that tragic day. He also told me of how you were a great police officer, and a great person. 24 years later, and I could still see the sadness as he told me of you. I know your family, friends, and brother/sister officers still miss you very much. I'm sorry I never had the honor of meeting you. Rest in Peace.

You'll Never Walk Alone

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart and you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

~~~~~The Broken Chain~~~~~
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.~~In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.~~It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.~~You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.~~Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.
Trooper Killough, it's hard to believe that it has been 25 years since your death and yet I remember it like it happened yesterday. I lived less than two blocks from where you were killed and it was the talk of the neighborhood for quite some time. It made me realize the difficult nature of police work and also that it takes a special breed of person to do this job. Iam reminded of that daily as I work the front desks at the Pima County Jail in Tucson, AZ- far away from Flint, MI, but the task remains difficult-but we know you watch over us and keep us safe as we continue the watch. Godspeed, brother
