Your heroism and service is honored today, the 44th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Thank you for your service. My father was a Trooper who served with your son. Your son was a great friend and partner to my father. My father was shot and killed in the line of duty, and your son was working with my father earlier the same night. They were very close. I know it must have been very difficult for your son to lose you in the line of duty, and then later lose his friend/partner in the line of duty. Your son also became a Master Sergeant with the Highway Patrol. You left an honorable legacy that I am sure played a very important role in your son's life as he grew up and pursued his career. Your son has carried your family name well, and I know you are proud of him. He is very proud of you. I am proud of you and your service also. I salute you. God bless you.
