I am very proud to say I am your great great granddaughter. I have heard this story over and over again from my grandmother and from my mother. With all the craziness in the world today your story keeps coming up. A true hero I get to call my family.

It is not 114 years today since your ultimate sacrifice. It is so gratifying to see so many messages left by your descendants. I always say that if your loved ones keep your memory alive in their hearts and minds, you are never truly gone. You are with them today, yet, I pray you are still resting peacefully.

God Bless, Brother and God Bless all your family.

As my sisters, Gail, Linda and I reflect on our great grandfather, whose portrait was so prominently displayed in Nana's hoise, we are reminded of the ultimate sacrifice he made. We hold our great grandfather in our memory and in our hearts and have such admiration for all heroes who have succumbed to the same fate.

Dear Officer Keefe,

Thank you sir for your service. You will NEVER be forgotton. I am looking at your picture as I type this tribute ... you look so proud and rightfully so. We could not exist as a society if it were not for law enforcement officers who daily put their lives in mortal danger. You are a hero.
