I'm your Grandson Lawrence C. Jones. My father, who lost you when he was seven months old was so proud of his father, who he did not remember, he named his first born son after you.

I only hope during my life that I have been able to keep the honor of your name. Thank you for your service and for loving my Grandmother who I was also fortunate to love.

I just found this site because my son was in Washington D.C. and wanted me to look up the location of the memorial to fallen officers so he could photograph the name of his great Grandfather.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 83rd anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
