Today makes 46 years since your life was needlessly taken and as is obvious by the posts here, you have never been forgotten. It's both heart breaking and reassuring to read the posts from your daughter and relatives. It is proof that, so long as your memory is kept alive, you're never truly far from the hearts and minds of those who love you. You are and for ever will be a hero to those who loved you and those who never met you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 43rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
