You would be so proud of your son and the person he has grown to be. He is the father of two wonderful sons and the most loving husband of almost 20 years. He gives of himself always and as you were he is also a reserve police officer for the Hayward Police Department. He gives of himself to the community as you did in Guam. He does this in your honor and he couldn't be more proud.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 32nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
