Rest in peace Trooper Whiting.

On the exact date, 23 years ago today I was involved in a shooting incident that could have taken my life as well. Thankfully I was able to recover from the shooting but had to retire shortly after. I will never forget this date nor will I ever forget Trooper Whiting who paid the ultimate sacrifice on this same date.

Dave,
I still think of you often. I am so happy you reached your dream of being a Mass State Trooper, you sure talked about it a lot. I could not have asked for a better roommate at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. We had a lot of good times. I hope you are getting some well deserved rest. I am not surprised about all the awesome posts, you deserve it.
Until we meet again....
