Reflections for Patrolman John Tillman Hussey

May you sleep in the arms of the father.
May you wake to the face of the son.
May your precinct be the jurisdiction of heaven.
Until we meet when our work here is done.
Rest easy brother, I have the watch tonight.

I cannot imagine the fear this young officer must have felt at the feet of this gutless piece of dung. I am sure he died as bravely as he could.

Life in prison is too good for this type of animal. No...even animals have codes they live by. This was a piece of garbage and should be treated as such.

I salute you for your service and honor you for your sacrifice.

A hero never dies.....

Rest in peace, hero. God bless.

John T. Hussey, you will never be forgotten in the minds and hearts of your friends and fellow officers. I know the angel choir is glad to have you to sing with them. God Bless

Your gone but not forgotten. I am proud to be a patrolman at Springdale Police Department, just as you were. I'm also proud to be a member of the John Tillman Hussey Memorial Lodge, Fraternel Order of Police lodge #65.

I see your photo every time I walk into the office. It hangs over the Sgt.'s desk, just like you are watching over us. I have heard the story time and time again from officers that were there that night, and it never gets any easier to hear, but I listen, and pay attention each time. I heard that for years after you were taken that some of the Sgt.'s would hand out a wallet sized picture of you to tell the new guys what its like out there and to watch out for each other. I think about the job that I do and hope that I can keep what happened to you from happening again. Thanks for watching over us.

John-- as the anniversary of your EOW approaches, I just wanted to remind your family that you have never been forgotten by me or others from your Department.
