Great uncle Bert, my mom, your niece Carolyn passed a week ago today. I was searching the Internet for her name and was so happy to see your name next to hers. She lost 5 of her immediate family, including you, in a very short period of time. She spoke so well of you and always kept a soft spot on her heart for you. Please find her in heaven and help her to reunite with our family in the afterlife. I love you great uncle. You make us all proud! Kelly - great niece

Every new years I always marvel at gift of life and all the sacrifices made so that gift is possible for me. You will always be part of the family lore and never forgotten. Even though I never got to meet you your influence continues on in a lot of lives. Too young uncle John.

Policeman Huseman - What a tragic loss, for what seems like a trivial matter. Thanks for your service to the people of Los Angeles - I am sorry it took you away from your wife and children. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

We are the LAPD ! We do not leave any Men or Women behind, and we do not forget any LAPD Brother or Sister, who may have fallen in the line – of – duty.

"Shootin' Newton" has changed immensely since the 1940's, but the sadnesss surrounding the loss of one of ours during any decade, will never change.

PM Huseman, may Your Soul Rest-In-Peace.
