Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant Ocie Desay Howard

Dad,every day I miss you just like I did the day you died when I was 11years old,I couldn't understand then and and still cannot understand why you left us so young.I know you were doing what was right and doing you job protecting Monroe citizens.I have had my dad as a hero all my life but I wish you would have lived to see your grandchildren grow up,great grandchildren and be apart of so many of our lives.Love you your baby girl

Thank you for your service to our great of Louisiana. You nor your service will be forgotten. Time does not erase nor fill the void of the loss of loved ones. When teaching I would always speak of "fair weather " friends and "true blue" friends. Explaining that they (my students) could only truly count on those friends that were "true blue". Sir you were a "true blue" friend to all.....

I am privileged to be among the first to leave a reflection for you. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 51rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
